PRM / ANNA LILLE is back with a new single - 'That's a Year' is out now

Norway’s indie-pop star in the making Anna Lille is back with a relatable, razor-sharp pop banger! Anna Lille’s voice has already grabbed the attention of global superstars like Justin Bieber and Billie Eillish online. Her new single "That's a Year” captures the specific sting of walking away from a relationship and wondering if it was all a waste, but finding, gradually, that life on the other side is infinitely better. The track is bittersweet, a little ironic, and very Anna. Anna is back bolder, more confident, and sassier than ever.

Anna says:

“That’s a Year is about coming out of a relationship and that initial feeling of thinking ‘well, that was a year wasted’. The bitter taste of having invested so much time into something that just didn’t work. But then, gradually, you start to laugh at it a little in hindsight. Because life is so much better now than it was a year ago, and it’s almost a bit strange to realise that.”

The single is the first taste of a much bigger chapter ahead. The track was crafted alongside producer Matias Tellez, known for his work with girl in red, Aurora, and Maisie Peters, and a team of songwriters from the UK, US, and Norway. And the talented songwriter Nick Hahn (ZAYN, Mimi Webb, Sigrid).

Anna started writing and performing at just 12 years old, now at 22 she is a fully formed artist: a true songwriter, a stunning vocalist, and someone whose personality jumps off the stage as much as it does through a phone screen. Her growing social media fanbase which has caught the attention of the likes of Justin Bieber(who has liked and share one of Anna's videos to his 286M followers on Instagram), Billie Eilish, Kendall Jenner, Maisie Peters, and Lola Young, is drawn to exactly that: something real, something cheeky, something that feels like a message from your most honest friend.

Rooted in Nordfjordeid, Anna’s ‘heim’, a small town nestled at the end of a fjord in Western Norway. Anna’s music carries the intimacy of someone who knows exactly where she comes from, even as she steps into something much bigger. She was nominated for ‘Breakthrough Artist of the year’ in 2025 at the Norwegian Grammys, Spellemannprisen, the pop culture radio awardshow P3 Gull and at the publisher award Musikkforleggerprisen. Earlier this year Anna won ‘Artist of the Year’ at Luttprisen in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. This summer she will play a packed festival season.

In June, Anna was one of the featured artists in the mobile game Hay Day's summer music festival. A two-week in-game and social media event headlined by Joe Jonas around his original track ‘The Cozy Anthem’. The mobile game boasts 20 million daily users, 29 million followers across social media. As part of the campaign, Anna recorded her own version of the anthem, which players can find directly in the game, as well as across her social media channels.

2025 was the breakthrough year for Anna, with the release of the EP ‘How did I let this get so serious?’, playing 15 summer festivals, closing out the summer with Øya Festival, and supporting Bryan Adams in Ålesund, Norway. Anna’s last release was back in November 2025, where she did a version of the very famous Norwegian song ‘Min Første Kjærlighet’ for the cinema movie of the same name. The song received amazing reactions from a wider audience, DSPs, press, and radio. She is now setting sights abroad, and in January this year she played Eurosonic showcase festival and was nominated in the «Music Moves Europe» award, which previously has lifted artists such as Dua Lipa, Adele, Sigrid and girl in red.

‘That’s a Year’ is out today, 7th of August. Anna Lille is everyone’s little sister, best friend, and the artist you didn’t know you needed, and she’s just getting started.
